Snoop Dogg admits to being behind $17.7m NFT collection account

American rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed that he is the Cozomo de' Medici who has amassed a collection of 247 non-exchangeable tokens (NFTs), including nine CryptoPunks. DappRadar valued it at $17.7m.

Snoop Dogg created the Cozomo de' Medici Twitter account in August 2021 and has since gained 37,000 followers. During this time, he has reported on his investments in NFT, demonstrating deep subject matter expertise.

Apart from cryptocurrencies worth between $348,250 and $4.73 million and ten Meebits, his portfolio includes generative images. These include the constituent NFT Fragments of an Infinite Field by artist Monica Rizzolli, sold on the Art Blocks marketplace.

Recall, Snoop Dogg himself released a collection of NFT on the marketplace in March, co-created with Nyan Cat meme creator Chris Torres in April. The Snoop x Nyancat token is a Cozomo de' Medici profile picture.

Earlier, famous American comedian Steve Harvey launched a line of non-exchangeable tokens to raise money for a family charity.
