Bybit launches spot trading

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has launched a spot trading platform with zero maker fees. This is reported on the exchange's blog.

Bybit offers spot trading in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP and EOS. The crypto exchange will expand its list of cryptocurrencies in the future.

Maker's commission is 0% and taker's is 0.1%. Traders can withdraw cryptocurrency to external wallets.

"We are excited to bring the liquidity and reliability that customers have come to associate with Bybit to the spot market. Our goal is to turn Bybit into a universal cryptocurrency platform. Spot is the backbone of the crypto market and something that will suit those new to trading," commented exchange co-founder and CEO Ben Jow.

Until August 31, Russian-speaking Bybit users can get $20 in bitcoin equivalent. To do so, enter the promo code HELLOSPOT at the bonus centre and make at least one transaction on Bybit's spot platform.

Bybit is a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Singapore and registered in the Virgin Islands. The platform has been operating since 2018 and serves 2.5 million users. In the first quarter of 2021, total trading volume on the exchange exceeded $1 trillion.

As a reminder, in early July Bybit introduced a verification procedure to withdraw more than two bitcoins.
