Gryphon Digital Mining, a mining company focused entirely on renewable energy, has entered into an agreement with Bitmain to purchase 7200 Antminer S19j Pro units for a total of $48m.
Gryphon Mining, which recently announced that it has entered into a merger agreement with Sphere 3D (Nasdaq: $ANY ), announced it has entered into an agreement to purchase 7,200 Antminer S19J Pro mining machines from Bitmain. #Bitcoin
Under the terms of the agreement, Bitmain plans to supply Gryphon with 600 miners each month. The first batch will be shipped in August 2021.
Gryphon Digital Mining previously announced plans to go public through a reverse merger with data management provider Sphere 3D.
Recall that US-based TeraWulf, which is more than 90% carbon-neutral, bought 30,000 Antminer S19j Pro devices from the Chinese manufacturer.
