Burger King launches Keep It Real Meals NFT campaign
Global fast-food chain Burger King has announced the release of non-exchangeable tokens (NFT) as part of its Keep It Real Meals marketing initiative featuring musical artists Nelly, Anitta and LILHUDDY. This is reported by Decrypt.
The project is implemented in collaboration with NFT marketplace Sweet.
The campaign will see QR codes appear on boxes of food from Burger King in the US to unlock NFTs from the three celebrity collections.
The user who accesses the same item from all the ranges will receive a prize.
Rewards will include digital 3D Burger King collectibles, free Whopper sandwiches for a year, autographed celebrity merchandise and the opportunity to have a phone conversation with one of them.
As a reminder, NFT's weekly trading volume fell three times from its August record of $1.05 billion in early September.
Chinese state media warned readers of a bubble forming in the sector.
